ABOUT KROLL PATROL
Mr. Kroll is no stranger to public education; he has been working in a public high school for the past seventeen years in a variety of capacities. This is his tenth year teaching at Crusader Nation. Prior to his arrival in Macomb Township, he worked for South Lyon Community Schools in a variety of capacities. A two-time honors graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Mr. Kroll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership (K-12 School Administration). During the pandemic, he began coursework to earn a second Master's degree in Learning, Design, and Technology through Central Michigan University; he anticipates earning that degree in August of 2021.
Mr. Kroll was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. He shares his West Bloomfield Township home with his wife Dr. Charlotte Painter Kroll, a family dentist, and their two dogs: a seven-year-old Lhasa Apso-Shih Tzu named Lucy, and a six-year-old Boxer-Shih Tzu named Penny.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Kroll is the Executive Director for the Michigan Council of Teachers of English (a statewide non-profit organization that provides professional development opportunities for English teachers across the state), and he is a certified Teacher Consultant for the National Writing Project. Mr. Kroll also serves as a Lutheran Minister for a congregation in New Haven, Michigan.
